Routing and Directions

The Google Maps API delivers the full power of Google's routing engine to your applications. You can generate routes between up to 23 locations for driving, walking, or cycling. Routes can avoid toll roads or highways, and travel time can be reduced by calculating the optimal order to visit each location. Travel time and distance between locations can also be calculated, for example if you want to offer users a way to filter search results by drive time.

Data Visualization

The Google Maps API lets you visualize data using heat maps, symbols and custom styles. For United States maps, you have access to a demographics layer containing recent census information provided by Nielsen, as well as 5-year projections of many data fields. The demographics layer is only available to Google Maps API for Work customers, and may only be used on internal websites / intranets.

Real-Time Visibility

All team members can be seen on a Google Map. By assigning jobs to the nearest worker, more tasks can be completed in a shorter amount of time and workers are color-coded so its obvious who is available. Administrators can dispatch jobs with the confidence that an individual's location is correct, even if they are indoors since Google Maps Coordinate integrates Google Indoor Maps.

Job Management

Workers can see a list of their jobs, and check in to show that they have started. This reduces miscommunication between the worker and dispatcher. Workers are able to minimize down time between tasks and complete a higher number of jobs per day.

Data Capture
